Back in 2017, DOST has awarded X-LIPAD with a grant in order to address the need of various sectors for drone technology. Since then, DOST has continued to grant funding for the ongoing research and development of X-LIPAD’s drone educational systems because of the project’s novelty and importance to the education sector.
Started as a research project back in May 2017 under the Center for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research (CESDR) of De La Salle University’s Gokongwei College of Engineering, the X-LIPAD team has come a long way in realizing their vision, from deploying free DREAM kits to gaining significant demand from universities around the Philippines today.
